Houston Man Living on Roof Due to Cluttered House

Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON, TEXAS -  (KPRC/CNN) – A Texas man living on his roof after filling his home with clutter and debris.

The Houston man's home was so full of clutter that he built a make-shift structure on his roof to make room for him to live.

Neighbors say he's been living on the roof for the past year.

City officials have cited the man several times for trash and debris around his house. He's even spent time in jail for not complying with citations.

The city is now taking the matter into its own hands. Crews executed a search warrant this week to clean up the home.

Officials say a lien will then be placed on the property to pay for the clean-up
