(KCEN) -- UPDATE: The Amber Alert for 19-month-old Michael John Mitchell of Addison, TX, has been discontinued.

Addison police report Williams, the boy's grandfather, turned himself into Addison police late Saturday. Officials spoke to Williams on the phone several times until he voluntarily drove the boy to police headquarters.

Officials report there was an altercation between family members that prompted Williams to take the boy.

No charges have been filed.

The case remains under investigation.




(KCEN) -- An Amber Alert has been issued by the Dept. of Public Safety on Saturday, June 14, for 19-month-old Michael John Mitchell of Addison, TX. Mitchell's height is 2'6" and he weighs 45 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and his race is Hispanic and white. He was last seen at 12:30 p.m. in Addison.

The suspect is 41-year-old Tommy Williams. Williams' height is 5'10 and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown hair and black eyes. His race is white and Hispanic.

The Amber Alert states the vehicle identifier as a 2004 Black Mercedes CL500, license plate number DX8X785.
