UPDATE: Central Texas Child Who Fell From Car In Critical Condition

UPDATE: June 17, 2014

(KCEN) -- The child who fell from the moving vehicle has been identified and is in critical condition.

The child is identified as David Baker of Bellmead.

Officials say that he is in critical but stable condition.

At this time no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.




(KCEN) -- A local child was rushed to the hospital after falling out of a moving vehicle.

It happened Monday afternoon in the 2100 block of Old Dallas Road in Bellmead.

Police say an 11-year-old child was sitting on the window frame of the car while it was moving.

Then as the vehicle turned into a driveway, the child fell out and hit his head on the pavement.

Police say the child was breathing, but was not responsive.

The child was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

So far, there has been no update on the child's condition.
