Overnight Shooting Sends One To Hospital

(KCEN) Temple:   Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday morning.

Temple police responded to a call of a shooing  in the 900 block of S.22nd  Street at 12:19 a.m.

When they arrived on scene they 
 found individuals inside of a residence providing  first aid to a 24 year old male who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper body.  

Scott and White EMS arrived and immediately transported the victim to Scott and White Hospital in serious condition.   

The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred outside of the residence, and that the suspect may have  known the victim. 

The motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt.
