(KCEN) -- It was a messy morning for Waco residents hit hard by rain and wind. 4,000 people lost power at the height of the storm and on Monday morning, half of them were still in the dark.

Oncor crews have been working overnight to restore power in McLennan County, but they had to fix big trouble spots before moving on to smaller downed lines.

City workers are also busy, cleaning up streets littered with branches and fallen trees. "It's always a busy day after a large rain like that," one worker said. "Residents call in and have us come check clogged inlets and limbs down and all that."

For the latest information on outages in your area, visit the Oncor Storm Center.

(KCEN) -- Sunday night's rain hit China Spring the hardest with flash flooding taking over roads. Just under 4 inches fell in the area in less than an hour.China Spring Rd. and Old China Spring Rd. saw some of the worst flooding with many homes in the area taking on water.

Culverts remains filled with water tonight and while many roads have reopened standing water remains in some low-lying areas.

In Waco, wind and rain brought down tree limbs and power lines. Many roads were completely blocked by the debris.

A massive tree feel down near Herring Ave. and MLK.

Traffic lights were also knocked out across the city. Oncor says over 4,000 customers are without power Sunday night.

(KCEN) -- Flash flooding has been reported on China Spring Hwy near FM 185 as well as Bob Johnson Rd

Flooding has also been reported on China Spring Rd. and Old China Spring Rd.

Drivers should avoid this area. Remember: Turn around, don't drown.
