Texas Mom Finds Her Kids Shot in Sibling Murder-Suicide

(CNN) -- A Texas mother makes a horrifying discovery in her home.

Three of her children were dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

"I heard the banging," said neighbor Jessica Olivares.

Jessica Olivares is one of few who heard gunshots without knowing what was unfolding next door.

I heard somebody banging on my door like four times.

It was not banging it was shooting. It happened just before 2 p.m. in a home in Stafford.

"I've seen things happening in other areas but never seen anything like that here," said neighbor William Brantley.

Once inside what detectives found was sad, grotesque and peculiar. Three siblings dead in separate rooms. Each shot. One of them the gunman, with a gun laying near him.

"Which sibling basically murdered the other two so we're still looking into that," said Lt. J. Leedom from the Stafford Police Department.

Police recovered more than one gun from inside the home. The dead siblings are 23-year-old Faheem Mughal, 18-year-old Fahad Mughal, and Rebecca Mughal, who was just 15.

"It's sad because Rebecca was such a good student. It was so sad," said a friend of Rebecca's, Monet Casas.

Friends say Faheem worked on friends' cars. Fahad would help him. The family seemingly got along. So what happened to cause one of them to shoot to kill is the lingering question.

"I never heard arguing i never heard fighting and him and his little brother were always outside working on cars together and i never saw anything like that. His mom always waved to me and i always said hi to them everyday, it just doesn't seem real," said neighbor Larry Rangel.

(CNN) -- It may be possible to rewire your brain so that it wants -- craves, even -- healthier foods. How? By following a healthy diet. We know, that wasn't the quick fix to afternoon ice cream binges you were hoping for. But this research could lead to a more sci-fi solution to the obesity epidemic. In a pilot study published Monday in the journal Nutrition Diabetes, scientists say that changing your eating behavior can actually change how your brain reacts to high-calorie and low-calori...More >>
