'No-Fly' List Ruled Unconstitutional

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- The "no-fly" list for airlines that bans people who are believed to be a security threat was ruled unconstitutional.

A U.S. District judge said that someone who is on the list would remain there for an indefinite amount of time, with no way to appeal their inclusion on the list.

The judge concluded that international travel is not a privilege, rather a liberty that members of a free society have.

The ruling comes after 13 people sued U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the FBI after they were not allowed to board a plane in 2010.
