One Person Dead After Accidental Shooting in Harker Heights

 (KCEN) -- A person is dead after what police believe to be an accidental shooting in Harker Heights. 

On Sunday at 5:39 p.m., Harker Heights police were called to the 400 block of Core for a shooting. 

When police arrived to the home, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. 

The man was transported to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he later died from his injuries. 

Officials say that the shooting is under investigation but currently believe that the shooting was accidental.

Police are not releasing names at this time.
