Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- A man was arrested on Thursday after he took a woman's car and wrecked it.

Twenty-two-year-old Ramon Sajar Jones was arrested in Waco on Thursday.

At 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, a 64-year-old woman was visiting a friend in the 1100 block of Calumet.

When she stepped out from her Buick LaSabre, she was approached by Jones.

Jones pushed her to the ground, jumped into the car, and sped away.

Police responded near the 1700 block of North 4th after Jones was seen in the area.

When police arrived, Jones had just gotten into a crash with another vehicle and then crashed again into a tree.

After a short foot chase, Jones was caught and arrested. He has been booked into the McLennan County Jail.

The victim had injuries on her wrist, arm and knee. She was evaluated and treated at the scene by ETMC.
