July 11th is Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven

(KCEN -- July 11 means 7-Eleven stores are celebrating their 87th birthday with free Slurpees today through next week.

Customers can grab a free Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating stores while supplies last.

There are two new Slurpee flavors this summer to choose from: Lemonade and sugar-free Fanta watermelon punch.

You can also buy a Big Bites hot dog for $1 which is normally $1.99.

And if you have a 7-Eleven app, you can enjoy more tasty freebies during the celebration week... Including big gulps, cookies and ice cream bars.

    Forty-seven people were killed and 11 were injured in Wednesday's plane crash on one of Taiwan's Penghu Islands, Taiwan's Central News Agency reported. CNA cited Taiwanese Transportation Minister Yeh Kuang-shih.
