Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 17, 2014
Music Dealers, the Chicago-based music agency and global B2B music licensing platform, is proud to announce that its CEO and Co-Founder, Eric Sheinkop, was invited to speak and represent the international music industry at the World Cup Project developed by the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investment (Apex-Brazil).
The Apex-Brazil World Cup Project was designed to raise the economic profile of Brazil, stimulate the countrys exports, gain investments, and propel the commercial image of Brazil within the international market. The project was a huge success, attended by more than 2,300 buyers, investors and foreign opinion makers from 104 countries, while generating over US $6 billion in business transactions.
At the World Cup Project, Music Dealers CEO, Eric Sheinkop, was invited to speak at Encounters 2014, where Brazilian musicians were given a career changing opportunity to meet-and-greet with top music industry executives. The event allowed Sheinkop to attend a number of private performances from Brazils top independent artists and discuss deals with their business managers for global music licensing opportunities, which included the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympic Games. In addition to productive meetings with artists, Sheinkop engaged in one-on-one meetings with Brazilian government officials about the state and direction of the global music licensing industry.
A key workshop at Encounters 2014, developed by Brazil Music & Arts and Apex-Brazil, was Synchronization: A New Source Of Revenue For The Music Market, were Sheinkop, co-author of "Hit Brands: How Music Builds Value for the World's Smartest Brands", discussed his international music experiences. He offered expert advice on how to strengthen and develop Brazilian music platforms, programs, and initiatives for emerging artists, producers, and entrepreneurs involved with the production of Brazilian music.
Brazil is the largest economy in Latin America and one of the fastest growing in the world, especially with major events like 2014 FIFA World Cup and the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympic Games, with music playing a central role in both. Im inspired by the growing industry in Brazil and look forward to Music Dealers playing an active role contributing to the countrys economy through the use of Brazilian artists in advertising campaigns, the gaming industry and performances. I admire the Brazilian governments support of Brazil Music & Arts and hope it's a program other countries will adopt to continue to unite the world through music. It's just the beginning for Brazil, and Music Dealers is honored to support the country and share its amazing music with the world, said Music Dealers CEO, Eric Sheinkop.
