Temple Police Investigating Wednesday Morning Drowning

Posted: Updated:
(KCEN) -- Temple police are investigating an apparent drowning at the Twin Oaks apartment complex at 601 Twin Oaks Drive.

Police officers, along with fire and rescue crews were called out to the scene just after 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning after receiving a call about a woman who appeared to be dead at the bottom of the pool.

Police spent the morning investigating and questioning residents about anything they may have seen or heard, but they do not suspect any suspicious activity.

Twin Oaks resident Jenice McGee lives in an apartment facing the pool. She says the area is closed and locked from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m., but people frequently jump over the gate. "It's just hard for them to keep them out of here after midnight," McGee said. "That's when they come out usually."

Employees at Twin Oaks Apartments would not comment on the incident.
