Andy Andersen is the Chief Meteorologist and Main Weather Anchor at KCEN-TV in Temple, TX specializing in the area of forecasting the weather for the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Andy has been the Chief Meteorologist for KCEN 1998. Prior to that, he worked on the air in Houston at FOX 26 KRIV TV, KIII TV in Corpus Christi, and WAGT TV in Augusta, Georgia.

Andy has earned the Broadcast seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. His on-air presentations have won Best Weathercast Awards from the Associated Press in both Georgia and Texas, and have been nominated for an Emmy.

Andy has been on the air in television since 1979, and radio since 1972 -- 46 year career in broadcasting. He is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Andy is an Eagle Scout, and a Mason.
