TEMPLE, Texas — Darron Wallace hails from Belle Mead, NJ but also proudly claims Plainfield, NJ as his hometown.

Darron graduated Montgomery High School in 2015 and enrolled at Syracuse University that fall. Originally an economics and neuroscience major during his four years at ‘Cuse, it wasn’t until his senior year that he discovered the Broadcast Journalism Masters Program at the Newhouse School of Communications. After one meeting with Prof. Olivia Stomski, he was convinced he had to join the program in the Sports Communications Emphasis. He finished the program in the Newhouse School with a capstone internship working at WFRV Local 5 in Green Bay, Wisconsin covering the Green Bay Packers during training camp. After finishing his masters at Syracuse, he worked in the Princeton community and Newark Public School District, COVID testing thousands of individuals in an effort to continue to help overcome the pandemic.

An avid sports fan, Darron supports the Yankees, Knicks, Jets and across the pond, the Chelsea Football Club. He also enjoys playing the sports he watches, particularly basketball. He has four siblings, three sisters and one brother, and enjoys spending time with family, especially bigger family gatherings.

Darron has a passion for video games and cartoons as he believes it aids him in his creativity and ability to tell stories.

Darron is excited tell the stories of all the different people in the Waco/Temple area!
