The supermarket chain has received praise for its response to the coronavirus pandemic, even from outside Texas.

Last week, “The Governator” himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, tweeted an article on H-E-B’s response to the pandemic, calling it “a masterclass in preparation and being ready to support your community.”

Since the pandemic, H-E-B has extended its $2 per hour “Texas Proud Pay” to employees through at least May 10 to show its appreciation for employees’ hard work.
