2019 Koman Waco MORE THAN PINK Walk supports those battling breast cancer, celebrates survivors

WACO, Texas —

More than 1,000 people celebrated breast cancer survivors and supported those battling the disease at the 2019 Koman Waco MORE THAN PINK Walk Saturday.

The Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Association walk is an annual event that raises funds for the “breast cancer movement.” This fundraiser will help reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026, according to the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK website.

The Waco event was at Brazos Park East on 3516 North M.L.K. Blvd. Registration opened at 7:00 a.m., and ceremonies started at 8:30 a.m.
