Central Texas 4th of July: Fireworks and Celebrations

There are plenty of fun and family-friendly events scheduled around the area for Central Texans.

Here's a rundown of some of the events happening around Central Texas on July 4.

Belton's 4th of July Parade 

Bell County's largest parade will kick off 10 a.m. July 4 in Belton as the city celebrates its 100th Belton 4th of July Parade. There's also an entire week's worth of celebration going on around the town if that's not enough for you.

Fort Hood Independence Day Celebration

Fort Hood invites everyone to celebrate the holiday at Hood Stadium. Gates and concessions will open at 4 p.m. 

There will be food and beverages available for purchase and live performances from the Band Steele and Andy Grammar. 

City of Gatesville's Annual Fireworks Display

The city of Gatesville will hold its annual fireworks display beginning at dark (around 9:30 p.m.) July 4. There will be seating in the McKamie Stadium bleachers and parking in the lot next to the stadium.

Temple's H-E-B All American 4th of July Family Fun Fest

The 21st annual event will start at 4 p.m. July 4, when Miller Park opens with a splash pad and concession vendors. Alcohol will not be sold onsite, but guests can bring their own as long as it's not in a glass bottle.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Uptown Drive Band will perform at 7 p.m. and the H-E-B fireworks show will light up the skies around 9:30. Fireworks will be shot from inside the park and should be visible along N. 3rd St, at the Mayborn Center and neighborhoods around the park.

Waco's Fourth on the Brazos

Waco's annual Fourth on the Brazos will be at Touchdown Alley next to McLane Stadium starting at 5 p.m. 

There will be live music beginning at 6 p.m., and the 8th annual Waco Corndog Classic Eating Competition will get started on the main stage at 7:15 p.m. (if you want to enter, call 254-750-5627.)

H-E-B's Fireworks Extravaganza will start at 9:15 p.m.
