TEAGUE, Texas — Two men were injured in an incident involving shots being fired in Teague early in the morning on Saturday, Oct. 19.
According to the Teague Police Department, around 2:30 a.m. officers went to investigate a report that threats were being made in the 900 block of Magnolia Street. When police arrived, the three individuals involved, two men and a woman, told the officers that no threats were being made.
A little over an hour later, around 3:53 a.m., a report came in to police that a person had been shot at the same location. While the incident is still being investigated, police have said that shots were fired after two men got involved in an argument.
Both men were hit, with one being taken to an area trauma center to receive medical treatment. Police say the other man that was shot left the scene of the incident and has not yet been questioned about what took place.
Police also say no charges are being filed in connection to the incident until all individuals involved have been interviewed by Teague PD so they can determine what happened early that morning.
The incident is related to a "domestic violence situation" and poses no threat to the public, according to Teague Police.
