WACO, Texas -- A male suspect led authorities on a chase through two Central Texas counties before ending up back near where the chase began, crashing into two other vehicles, getting out of his vehicle, trying to run and getting caught.

DPS initially tried to pull the man over for following another vehicle too closely on northbound I-35 in McLennan County just before 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. But, the driver refused to pull over.

The subsequent chase went through Hill County, then ended up coming back to McLennan County, where the suspect wrecked his vehicle into two other vehicles on I-35 south near downtown Waco around 1:49 p.m. DPS said the suspect then got out and tried to run away. But, he was taken into custody, law enforcement said.

Nobody was hurt during the chase or crash.
