Temple ISD student escapes kidnappers after getting abducted at bus stop, police say

Temple police said the student told them four people forced him into their car while he was alone at his bus stop.

TEMPLE, Texas — Temple police were looking for four people they said tried to kidnap a high school student from his bus stop Thursday morning.

The victim told police four black males got out of a silver sedan and forced him into the vehicle. Police said he was the only student at the bus stop at West Ave. O and South 9th St.

Police said he was able to escape and was found in a rural area south of Little River Academy by railroad employees, who called the police.

Temple police said they were working with the Temple Independent School District regarding the situation. 

Police said they will have a heightened awareness during transportation hours. 

Police did not provide any other information. They asked anyone with any information about this case to call the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500.
