University High school student arrested for terroristic threats after several social media threats towards schools in Bellmead

BELLMEAD, Texas —

The Bellmead Police Department took three teenagers into custody at University High School Thursday for their possible role in an aggravated assault.

Police said the teens were also questioned about several social media threats made toward schools in Bellmead and Waco.

The assault happened on Fisher St. in Bellmead on Monday, according to police.

After questioning, police said Moises Martinez of Waco, 15, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and arrested for terroristic threats related to social media threats. 

A 17-year-old was released pending further investigation and a 16-year-old was detained and released to Waco police investigators.

Police said all three teens are students at University High School.

The Waco, LaVega and the Waco Independent School District Police departments all took part in the investigation.

Bellmead police did not give details on who was assaulted or the severity of the victim's injuries.
