Two suspects arrested in connection with March 29 Killeen murder, bond set at $1M each

KILLEEN, Texas — Two suspects were identified and arrested in relation to a murder that happened late Sunday, March 29 in Killeen.

De'Jauna Monte Williams, 18, and Cedric Vernon Henderson, Jr., 19, were charged with the murder of Temple resident Kaitlyn Silverio. Williams and Henderson are both in the Killeen City Jail with bond set at $1,000,000 each.

An investigation by detectives with the Homicide and Organized Crime Unites determined the incident was a narcotics transaction.  

On March 29, officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Hereford Lane responding to a 911 call about a shooting victim at about 10 p.m. Upon arriving, officers found Silverio lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound. She was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in Temple in critical condition.

She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
