Georgetown police seeking man missing since Tuesday

The Georgetown Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a man missing since Tuesday.

Police said Harvey Huber, 50, was last seen at Huber Auto Repair at 2524 N. Austin Ave. around 9:30 p.m.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with "Huber Auto Repair" written on it, along with a white thermal undershirt and blue jeans.

Huber is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, approximately 165 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

On Friday, the GPD said Texas Equusearch will be coordinating a community-involved search for Saturday. Anyone interested in participating is asked to meet at the Georgetown ISD athletics field at 9 a.m. at the home-side gate.

Officials say to dress appropriately for the weather, bring water and to expect thick, brushy terrain. Temperatures Saturday are expected to range from the 50s to low 70s. It will be mostly sunny.

The Georgetown Police Department is investigating an officer involve... d shooting in the 700 block of Garden Meadow Drive. During the incident, 2 Georgetown Police Officers were struck by gunfire from an armed subject. The officers returned fire, struck the subject, and the subject was declared deceased on the scene.
