Killeen business helping seniors with essential errand service

Freedom Country volunteered their team members to provide an essential errand running service for senior citizens in the Killeen area.

KILLEEN, Texas — Freedom Country volunteered their team members to provide an essential errand running service for senior citizens in the Killeen area now through April 30.

"We started having less of a demand and rather than lay people off, we wanted to keep them," Mitch Connell with Freedom Country said.

Errands range from grocery shopping, picking up prescription drugs, dropping off cars for service, and more will be provided for elderly in need.

"Until we can get back to doing business of selling and re-servicing cars here at the brand new Freedom Country, we're going to do what we can to help our community out," Connell said.

They will run errands Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Any seniors in need of assistance should call at (254) 306-0909.
