TEMPLE, TX — The Bell County East Side Strike Team was activated around 6 p.m. July 15 in reference to a large grassfire near the Temple airport.
With eleven agencies working together, firefighters totally contained the grassfire, which started as several smaller fires.
About 20 acres of land burned almost entirely on airport property. There were no injuries or damage to buildings, vehicles or planes.
