WACO, Texas — The Waco Fire Department said on Twitter around 4 p.m. it saved four people who were riding on an inflatable swan pool floatie on the Brazos River near Pean Bottoms. The first tweet about the water rescue was sent at 1:41 p.m.

No injuries were reported, the department said. Firefighters managed to tow the floatie to shore.

The department said the river is dangerous while it's flooded.

"Please be mindful that the river is swollen, moving fast with dangerous currents, and full of debris which can be very dangerous currently," the department said.
