Corden Fidler, a 4-year-old boy who was seriously injured when his step-father shot him in a double-murder suicide last December, was moved to Dallas for more procedures.

TEMPLE, Texas — Corden Fidler was moved to another hospital in Dallas for more medical procedures, according to the City of Burnet Fire Department.

The 4-year-old has been in a battle for his life since he was shot by his stepfather in a double-murder suicide last December. Corden's mother and grandmother were killed in the shooting.

Volunteers with the Burnet Fire Department, where Corden's father has been a firefighter for several years, rallied to raise funds for the child earlier this month. Organizers for the event said Corden had made amazing progress since the shooting, but he would still have surgeries and physical therapy going forward.
