TEMPLE, Texas — Have your umbrella handy from now until the weekend. The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for areas of Central Texas from now until 12 p.m. Saturday.

Between 2-to-4 inches of rain is possible with the multiple rounds of storms that will begin to move through the area after noon Thursday to Saturday.

The heaviest amount of rain is predicted to fall from late Friday evening to midnight on Saturday.

Consistent cloud coverage today will keep temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s.

By the weekend, chilly temperatures will make for jacket weather, but warmer temperatures and sunshine will return by the start of next week.
