Bell County indicts man for sexually assaulting a McDonald's employee who is autistic

According to a Killeen Police Department affidavit, Tyrin Brown assaulted a McDonald's worker, who has autism, in the men's bathroom of the restaurant at Fort Hood Street on Oct. 1.

KILLEEN, Texas — The Bell County Grand Jury indicted Tyrin Brown Wednesday on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person.

According to a Killeen Police Department affidavit, Brown assaulted a McDonald's worker, who has autism, in the men's bathroom of the restaurant at Fort Hood Street on Oct. 1.

The victim was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center, and said she knocked on the door of the men's room to make sure it was empty before she went in to clean it, the affidavit said. Then, she said while she was cleaning the mirrors, Brown came out of the stall, went behind her and started assaulting her.

The victim said Brown said nasty, sexual things to her in the restaurant before the assault, the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, the victim told police the suspect asked for her last name, she gave it to him and he found her on Facebook.

The officer said she was able to identify Tyrin Brown as the suspect, since he messaged the victim on Facebook.
