Athletes from all over Texas came to Austin to compete at the Special Olympics Texas Winter Games.

Over 2,600 athletes competed in bowling, volleyball and power lifting over three days. The Tri County Tornadoes in Killeen represented Central Texas, coached by Jessica Lloyd.

Tornadoes bowler Chelsea Stautzenberg said being able to get out, have fun, and compete, is something she wouldn't change.

For families of the athletes, being able to come out and support the athletes, and seeing them accomplish things they never thought possible, is priceless.

While everyone competing might not place first, second or third, it's the friendships and community involvement that will keep them coming back.
