Copperas Cove police arrest man in connection to pool hall shooting caught on camera

The shooting happened after a fight at a pool hall in the Cove Terrace Shopping Center on June 9. A video of the shooting was posted to Instagram.

COPPERAS COVE, Texas — The Copperas Cove Police Department said it arrested Tamarcus Jacques Scott in connection to a shooting in the Cove Terrace Shopping Center that happened on June 9.

Scott was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

That night, a fight at a pool hall spilled out into the streets, then the shooting happened. Two people were shot, then treated for non-life threatening injuries at AdventHealth, police said.

The following video of the shooting was posted to Instagram (Video courtesy of TeyK, or @modern.money on IG). Note: KCEN Channel 6 censored the profanity. 

During the investigation, police said detectives got surveillance video of the suspects involved in the shooting. Scott was identified as one of the suspects, so detectives put in an arrest warrant for him. The Killeen Police Department Burglary Unit and the United States Marshall's Office helped arrest Scott, the department said. 

The department is still investigating the shooting, and it said more arrests are likely.
