AUSTIN -- If it feels like decades since you first heard Fleetwood Mac would be touring again soon, your "Dreams" have finally been answered.
Don't call this "Second Hand News," but the band on Wednesday finally announced dates for its "An Evening with Fleetwood Mac" tour, which will make a stop at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on May 4 at 10 a.m. local time at TexasBoxOffice.com or by phone at (512) 477-6060 or 1-800-982-BEVO (2386).
The band will be showing some "Big Love" to American Express cardholders, offering a presale in select markets beginning April 30 at 10 a.m. through May 3 at 10 p.m. A limited amount of LaneOne VIP Packages will also be offered, including seats with premium benefits such as transportation, preferred entrance and more.
The "An Evening with Fleetwood Mac" tour will feature a newly announced lineup of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.
“Fleetwood Mac has always been about an amazing collection of songs that are performed with a unique blend of talents," said Mick Fleetwood. "We jammed with Mike and Neil and the chemistry really worked and let the band realize that this is the right combination to go forward with in Fleetwood Mac style. We know we have something new, yet it’s got the unmistakable Mac sound.”
Grammy-award winning Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was later named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Peter Green left the band in 1969, Christine McVie joined in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974. Together, they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
