A former Baylor athletics employee filed a petition Wednesday in Dallas County to obtain several documents and depositions from three members of the Board of Regents, including the Pepper Hamilton report.

Tom Hill was fired in May in the wake of an investigation into sexual assaults by Baylor University athletes.

Hill claims Baylor rushed to judgment and as a result fired him even though he did “nothing wrong” regarding sexual assaults, according to the petition. Hill was fired soon after being interviewed by Pepper Hamilton, the law firm hired by Baylor to investigate the handling of sexual assaults.

Depositions of regents Ronald Murff, Mark Lovvron and David H. Harper were requested. Hill was told the BOR voted to terminate his employment.

At this time, he does not anticipate a lawsuit yet. However, he seeks to investigate facts involving the reasons he was fired and regarding is employment with Baylor.

According to the petition, the timeframe for the document requests are from January 1, 2011, to the present including electronic data, on computer disk or hard drive, cloud storage or any other device which stores data.

Baylor has a week to respond or Hill’s attorney will take action to discover the facts of the matter.
