HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — A haunted house in Harker Heights is using its spooky location to entertain families and give back to the community.

Every year Rivera chooses an organization in the community to promote and bring awareness to. The chosen organization gets a donation from the proceeds raised from the event.

This year the two organizations chosen to highlight were Hope Pregnancy Center in Killeen and Rising Stars 3lite Dance Company in Harker Heights.

At the end of the Halloween season, Rivera said they will make a donation to the organizations and hopefully bring awareness to what they do for the community.

This year, a couple who works at the haunted house is getting married at The Asylum on Halloween.

The Asylum Haunted House is located at 109 Cox Drive in Harker Heights.
