History comes to life in Central Texas for Navy Week

Crew members of the USS Constitution are touring Central Texas as part of Navy Week, giving people a glimpse into the world of the early 1800s.

As the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat, the USS Constitution was never sunk during its year's of combat, of which it saw 33 battles.

Each crew member serves between two to three years onboard the ship and has to go through rigorous tests to meet certain standards.

Along with informing people on the history of the USS Constitution various pieces of ship memorabilia from swords to the aptly named hockey puck - a ships biscuit which is a hard bread made of flour and water - will be on hand for the public to interact with.
