TEMPLE, Texas — Tonight, beginning at 11:30 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m., will close I-35 in both directions in Temple, the Texas Department of Transportation said in a press release.
The south bound lanes will close starting at Central and Adams avenues, and traffic will detour off I-35 at exit 301, TxDOT said. Police will direct drivers through the intersection, then traffic will re-enter I-35 before S Loop 363, TxDOT said.
North bound lanes will detour off I-35 at exit 300 and re-enter I-35 at 57th Street, the release said.
The lanes are closed because workers will be constructing the 5th Street bridge deck, TxDOT said.
TxDOT said drivers should find alternate routes to avoid the area.
