Circles of Care recognizes National Adoption Month in Central Texas

Circles of Care is a non-profit organization that provides adoption services and foster care.

TEXAS, USA — *Editor's note: The video above focuses on a local foster couple and their journey.

November is National Adoption Month and one nonprofit is working to make something special happen for some Central Texas families.

The group Circles of Care covers the Killeen, Austin, Hillboro and Groesbeck areas. To learn how to become a foster or adoptive parent visit the group's website

"If you've ever had an inkling these kids are amazing and they would love to be a part of your life," said Emily McElreath, a case manager with Circles of Care.

An annual toy drive is in the works to provide Christmas presents to children placed by Child Protective Services and biological children of the families the group serves. It runs until Dec. 6  ahead of a party on Dec. 9.

"It really helps build their confidence. It helps them know that they are appreciated, they are loved and they are good enough," McElreath said.

If you would like to donate you can drop off at the Circles of Care office in Salado and The Black Daisy in China Spring.

For more information on the drive or to adopt a child email Kirsten Wigley at kwigley@circlesofcareinc.org.
