Owner of Bush's Chicken in Temple, police looking for suspect in robbery

A $5,000 reward is being offered by the owner of a Temple Bush’s Chicken restaurant for information on a robbery suspect, according to the Temple Police Department.

TEMPLE, Texas — A $5,000 reward is being offered by the owner of a Temple Bush’s Chicken restaurant for information on a robbery suspect, according to the Temple Police Department. 

The robbery took place around 6 a.m. at the South 31st St. location, according to police. 

On Jan. 30, the owner says one of his employees was pistol-whipped during a robbery. No other customers were in the restaurant at the time and no other employees were hurt, according to police. 

“Based on video evidence, it appears the thief specifically targeted this store,” the owner told police. “He seemed very knowledgeable about the layout.”

According to police, video shows the attack and robbery took place in a matter of seconds before the suspect fled the chicken chain. “We hope this thief will be apprehended and put in a place where he will not be a danger to anyone else,” the owner stated to police.
