WACO, Texas — If you take an arcade, mini golf and a sports bar then blend it all together, you get a little place called Putters. It's a ticket straight back to the '80s.
"I've pretty much worn them out already, so I got my chance in. So now I can just focus on working now," owner Shawn Reising said.
During the day, Putters is a family friendly facility.
"I wanted to relive the old school," Reising said. "Show them the games you grew up with."
For just a few quarters, you can play some of the greatest games from the past few decades. However, Putters is much more than just an old school arcade.
Between mini golf, 25 TVs, some of which go from the floor to ceiling, plus a bunch of games, it's any kids' paradise. There's also a little fun for the grown ups, a fully-stocked bar.
The Putters staff said they hope they can make an impression on downtown Waco.
"I think I'd like to say I'm living the dream," Riesing said. "I am living my dream."
Putters' grand opening is set for May 3 at 320 South 2nd Street, Waco.
