The town of Richland Springs is out of water and every house was affected after an intense storm touched down Friday night.

Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Department confirmed the storm passed through Richland Springs, inside of San Saba County, around 8:00 p.m. on Friday. It impacted the north side of each house with straight line winds and stripped the siding off of some.

The fire department wen door-to-door and said 100-percent of homes in the town of just over 300 had received damage from the storm.

The hail was reported as grapefruit-sized and totaled 18 inches in hight.

““In my 25 years in Richland I’ve never seen anything like this. We had over a foot and a half of hail on the ground. It looked like winter here,” Capt. Ricky Parham of Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Department said.

Trigg said she was grateful to get out alive.

There were no injuries but Parham said about four homes had collapsed in the storm.

The town spent the day bringing water and other necessities to the fire station in town for anyone affected.
