Teen girls charged with murder in connection with Temple Walmart shooting

Two 16-year-old girls were charged with murder Saturday in connection with the shooting of a man in the parking lot of a Temple Walmart.

Temple police said in a press release sent Saturday that two 16-year-old girls were charged with murder in the shooting death of a man at a Walmart.

Police said one of the girls turned herself into police at the station Friday night. Police arrested the second girl a little more than an hour later at a home in the 1700 block of South 15th St.

Police said Isaac Kohlhaas was shot Wednesday night at the Walmart Supercenter at 6801 West Adams Ave.

He was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center where he died.

A balloon release was held in honor of Kohlhass Sunday, where about 80 people gathered to remember the teenager whom loved ones called a loyal friend and hard worker.

Police said the case remains under investigation.
