Temple fire, Temple police, Belton fire, Morgan's Point fire, Texas game wardens investigate abandoned kayaks

TEMPLE, Texas — A call came in at 3:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon that two kayaks were floating unattended on Lake Belton. Temple Police spokesperson Cody Weems said both kayakers were found safe.

Thomas Pechal, spokesperson for Temple fire, said both kayakers were fine. They were walking upstream, Pechal said. 

Temple Fire and Rescue, Temple police, Belton fire, Morgan’s Point fire and Texas Game wardens took part in the investigation.

Temple police and fire could not confirm if the kayakers were rescued.
