Allen was found unconscious in his burning home in September, when Woodway police officers found him. An electrical problem started the house fire, according to Woodway police.

On Monday night, the officers received a life-saving award from the Woodway city council for saving Allen.

"It's pretty rare sometimes that you are in the right place at the right time and you are just thankful that you are there," Cpl. Terry Mason said.

Assistant Chief Larry Adams, Officer Sean Fallon, Cpl. Derek Wall and Mason were the officers honored.
