Waterline broke in Woodway, businesses and residents could be without water for several hours

The City of Woodway said at about 3:45 p.m., a subcontractor broke through the 12" water line, leaving the area around HEB without water.

WOODWAY, Texas — At about 3:45 p.m., an AT&T subcontractor broke a 12" water line in Woodway, shutting off water in the area around H-E-B, the city said on Facebook. 

The city said crews are onsite and working to repair the break and get water to residents and businesses in the area as soon as possible. Typically, repairs for a water line that big take about four to five hours, the city said. 

The city said it would post an update on Facebook as soon as it gets more information.
