CLEVELAND -- On Monday, Cleveland police officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback gave statements to Cuyahoga County Sheriff's investigators about the events surrounding the Nov. 22, 2014 shooting of Tamir Rice, 12, at the Cudell Recreation Center.

Those statements were later read to the Cuyahoga County grand jury investigating the Tamir Rice incident.

Both officers had been subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury. The statements were made in lieu of them appearing, according to attorney Henry Hilow, who represents Loehmann.
