TEMPLE, Texas — Volunteers hoping to help find Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin, two long-time friends who went missing from Temple Jan. 4, will meet Saturday to hold an organized search and pass out flyers.

Volunteers will meet at the Hawkeye Gun Range at 119 N. 19th St. in Temple at 10 a.m.

A family friend of Swearingin who helped organize the search effort asked that volunteers wear boots and bring gloves. Anyone handing out flyers should plan to bring a staple gun and tape.

Scott's brother, Talon Scott, said the two had gone to Austin to hang out with friends and never returned. Talon Scott also said Swearingin's phone was found not far from where his car was discovered.

"His car was found on 12th East Street and they found his phone a block away," Talon Scott said.

Temple police said they are concerned for Swearingin's health.

Talon Scott said he fears his sister could be in danger.

The families of the two set up a GoFundMe page to fund search effort costs. It has raised more than $20,000.
