The Baylor men's basketball team came away with the 73-70 win over No. 20 Iowa State on Tuesday.

Makai Mason led the way with a game-high 25 points for the Bears. Tristan Clark finished with 16 points, and Devonte Bandoo had 13.

Baylor led 38-30 at the break and there were six lead changes in the second half. Mason hit a jumper to tie the game at 66 with 1:48 to play.

Then, it came down to free throws. Mason went 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to give Baylor the 67-66 lead. He then hit two more to extend the lead to three.

Bandoo hit two free throws to make it 73-70. Iowa State had a chance at the buzzer, but Nick Weiler-Babb's three-point attempt was off the mark.

Baylor is now 1-1 in Big 12 play, 17-19 all time against Iowa State, but the Bears are 14-2 against the Cyclones in Waco.

Baylor will host another top 25 team on Saturday when the Kansas Jayhawks come to Waco. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
