Mulkey and Virginia MBB Coach Bennett to be presented awards by the New York Athletic Club

WACO, Texas —

Baylor head women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey and Virginia men’s basketball coach Tony Bennett will be honored Wednesday in New York City with the Winged Foot Award presented by the New York Athletic Club.

The award honors the head coaches of the NCAA Division I women’s and men’s basketball championships. For Mulkey, it will be her third Winged Foot Award after winning national titles in 2005, 2012 and 2019.

The ceremony and dinner will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. Wednesday marks the 24th year that the NYAC presents the college coaches with the honor. In addition to celebrating the victories, the NYAC acknowledges the contributions these coaches make to the lives of their players and respective schools.

Mulkey and the Lady Bears became just the third program in women’s NCAA history to win a third championship, joining Tennessee and UConn.
