CRAWFORD, Texas — Two wins separate Crawford High School's softball team from the program's third state championship.
Fans, family and friends alike gathered at the front entrance to Crawford HS on Tuesday afternoon to give one final "good luck" and send the team off to Austin.
"We'll see all of you at 9 a.m. tomorrow, and then again at 3 p.m. on Thursday," coach Kirk Allen yelled to the crowd.
This will be the Lady Pirates' fourth trip to the UIL State Softball Championships. The program won state titles in 2012 and 2014.
Crawford will face West Sabine at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Class 2A semifinal at McCombs field at the University of Texas at Austin.
