Late runs propel Baylor over No. 21 Oklahoma State

OSU scored its lone run in the first inning and Baylor scored a pair in the sixth.

WACO, Texas — A resilient Baylor softball team wowed fans inside Getterman Stadium on Saturday.

Baylor (14-13 overall, 1-1 Big 12) beat No. 21 Oklahoma State (22-9, 1-1), 2-1, to force a series rubber match.

OSU's Madi Sue Montgomery scored in the top of the first on a Chyenne Factor double which hit the wall, in flight, just under the yellow "home run" line.

That run would the game's only until the bottom of the sixth, when Taylor Ellis wore a pitch with the bases loaded to tie it.

Then, Ana Watson knotched a hit, scoring Goose McGlaun. Alyssa Avalos got caught at the plate.

The Lady Bears will play to take the series Sunday at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.
